What Gefen is, and isn't
Gefen provides emotional and wellness support alongside medical fertility treatment. It doesn't replace it. Nothing on this site — no page, workshop description, or answer from our staff — is medical advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment recommendation. Decisions about your treatment belong between you and your doctor.
Where our content touches on halachic questions, it's general information. For a ruling on your own situation, speak to your rav or to a Yoetzet Halacha.
If you're in distress or facing a medical emergency, contact your doctor or emergency services.
Registering for programs

Places are limited, and registration is confirmed only once we've been in touch and confirmed it.

Participation fees are listed on the Participation Fee page. They're nominal and heavily subsidised; the real cost of each session is far higher.

Fees are payable in advance unless we've agreed otherwise with you.

No one is turned away over money. If the fee is a problem, tell us and we'll work it out.
Group confidentiality
Our groups only work because what's said in them stays in them. If you join a group, you're agreeing not to repeat what other participants share, and not to record sessions. We ask the same of our facilitators.
Donations
Donations are voluntary and, unless we've agreed otherwise in writing, non-refundable. Receipts are issued for tax purposes according to the route you donated through. If a donation was made in error, contact us and we'll sort it out.
Using this site
You're welcome to read, share and link to anything here. Please don't copy our written content, photographs or logo for your own use without asking first. Testimonials on this site are published with permission and describe individual experiences — they aren't a promise of any particular outcome.
Don't use this site to send anything unlawful, abusive or harmful, and don't interfere with how it runs.
Links to other sites
We link to other organisations, articles and partners. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for what's on them.
Availability
We do our best to keep the site up and accurate, but we can't guarantee it will always be available or free of errors.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Israeli law. Any dispute will be heard in the competent courts of Jerusalem.
