Tefilat Chana was created to nurture couples and individuals in our community who are experiencing infertility and pregnancy loss.
Fertility treatments, pregnancy loss and egg preservation are challenging on so many levels - physical, spiritual and emotional. This initiative was created to spread love and support to those who would benefit from it during challenging times. Tefilat Chana provides Kosher homemade and anonymous meals straight to the individual's door. Meals can be provided at any point during the fertility journey. For example, after a consultation, procedure, egg retrieval, surgery, the day of the beta test, after a failed cycle, after a miscarriage etc. - no explanation needed and no questions asked.
We have volunteers located in 11 cities across Israel: Jerusalem, Gush Etzion, Beit Shemesh, Givat Shmuel, Raanana, Modiin/Chashmonaim, Carmei Gat, Tel Aviv, Haifa and Netanya. Our goal is to reach every city and community in Israel.
Our volunteers are dedicated and loving, and go above and beyond to make sure the meals are healthy, tasty and special. Each meal is accompanied by a small care package, such as flowers for Shabbat, for an extra loving touch.
When a couple or individual wants a meal, they fill out a confidential form (click here to see the form). In order to ensure the confidentiality of the recipient, each city has a coordinator and all food items are dropped off at their home. The coordinator then drops the food off at the recipient's door in a requested time slot.
We have joined forces with Keren Gefen’s fertility partner program, so when a person signs up for a meal, they can also sign up to be matched with someone who has gone through a similar journey, who can share advice and support.
